Complete Guide to Amazon FBA Fees in 2026 (US, DE, JP)
Amazon FBA fees are complex and vary significantly by marketplace. Understanding the full fee structure is essential for accurate profit calculation and competitive pricing.
In the US marketplace, FBA fulfillment fees are based on your product's size tier and shipping weight. Standard-size products under 1 pound cost between $4.75 and $6.40 to fulfill, while those over 1 pound are charged per-pound rates. Large standard-size items and oversize items have higher fee schedules reflecting their higher shipping costs.
Germany (DE) has its own fee structure denominated in Euros. FBA fulfillment fees in Germany are generally comparable to US fees when converted, but the size tier thresholds differ slightly. Storage fees in Germany follow a similar seasonal pattern with higher rates during October through December (peak season).
Japan (JP) has the most unique fee structure. FBA fees in Japan are lower in absolute Yen terms but products are sold at lower price points. The JP marketplace also uses metric measurements (cm/kg) for size tier calculations, so a product that qualifies as Standard in the US might be categorized differently in Japan.
Beyond fulfillment fees, sellers need to account for referral fees (typically 15% across most categories), storage fees (monthly based on cubic footage), and advertising costs (ACoS varies from 10-30% by category). Our profit calculator accounts for all these fees automatically.
